A small selection of my essay on New York City fursuiters was recently published in China’s Vision magazine in the May 2010 issue.
Earlier this month, I offered one young female journalist $100 to write a guest post for this blog. Out of nearly 50 story pitches, I chose Lauren Rae Orsini, 24, a Washington, DC-based multimedia journalist, geek blogger, and web designer who covers anime, geekdom, and fandom. Lauren isn’t waiting on a journalism job to tell her unique stories; this new media journalist is doing it herself.

Glad to see that my story on fursuiters in New York City has been published by Epsilon Magazine in Greece. The magazine took some liberties with the images, by applying a strange graphic trick without consulting me or my agency. Not too happy about that, but happy to see the story get out there, nonetheless.
Steve Carell attends Gaylaxicon 2000, a nurturing environment for gay geeks to come out of the science fiction closet. Featuring Assinio and his description of "anthropomorphic erotica."
For the second year in a row, the KROQ crew stayed in the same hotel for Weenie Roast as everyone in town for the Califur Convention - the gathering of grown-ass men (and a few women) that dress up, head to toe, as furry cartoon animals.

3.) What if a bun
The producer of the Rochester radio show The Breakfast Buzz contacted our office Wednesday, May 4th asking for information on the Furry Fandom. I had planned on just answering one or two questions, but the producer went ahead and put me on live with the shows morning hosts, Kimberly & Beck.
All of this was off the cuff and not rehearsed. I hope I didn’t embarrass the fandom.
""Natt and Dag" is a free, paid-by-ads newspaper in Norway, distributed in stores and pubs and stuff. It is in the "sensationalist!" segment. They did, of course, not go public to furries about wanting to interview us, but found two furs who felt they could represent the entire fandom.
It goes as it must go. The front page has the somewhat loosely translated title "AniMal placed love - Furries & Bestiality " (where the first word was a combo of malplaced (misplaced) and animal...).
It has created great disturbance in the furce in Norway."
