There is an implicit hierarchy of respect among the geek tribes. Producers of paid, commercial content sit at the top of the cultural hierarchy and command respect far and wide. Furries, child gamers, and fan fiction writers rank at the bottom, with some combination of all of the above being the ultimate untouchable caste, and don't command respect from much of anyone.
"What's worse than furries? I'll answer that for you: furry stand-up comedians. The living trainwreck who refers to himself as "2 The Ranting Gryphon" belongs to that most reviled subculture of them all, people who get off thinking about cartoon animals, sex with cartoon animals, and certain sports mascots. That's losertastic enough, but what earns this furry his special spot is his "rants," horrible performances that would get him kicked off the stage in the worst comedy club in the most desperately starved for entertainment town in America. Are we in danger of drifting into a stupefied slumber where the figments of our dreams can claim the rights that we have previously reserved for concrete entities? The characters of fiction, written down as literature, drawn as manga or anime, expressed in the multitude of means technology has granted to us, lack independent agency.
"The endangered snow leopard is famously elusive: Not only do fewer than 7,000 remain in the wild, but the animals are notorious for avoiding humans and camouflaging themselves on rocky ledges.Snow Leopards are in danger from poachers, habitat loss, and neighboring herders who shoot them to protect their livestock--which is why Panthera and the Snow Leopard Trust are working on tracking a group of five Mongolian snow leopards via GPS collars. These photos from the field scientists offer an unusual look at these rarely-seen cats."

3 Vote(s)

Also, the MD5 hashes were unsalted, so a rainbow table attack could quickly crack many weak passwords. And this vulnerability existed for over a year.Basically, change your SoFurry password, and if you used the same password anywhere else, you might want to change those too.

5 Vote(s)
