There's allot of hearsay and HUGE amounts of controversy going on with FA. Admin accounts were hacked and a large handful of "Popfurs" accounts were affected. Large and in part due to many "colorful" types seeking to cause more harm than help.
As I've investigated. The owner Dragoneer, and it's loyal staff are continuing to fix the problem and proceed with many site features aimed at improving the site. No contact was attempted to get in touch with the staff but they do make it clear their diligently working with all of us furs in mind.

After being run for a decade the furry art hosting site may have to cut it's losses and discontinue hosting art. Those who have art on the site have been given a three month time frame to move any works they have on the site to other sites in the event this occurs.

A new furry art and story community has launched, offering artists a way to sell digital downloads and prints. The site – Inkbunny – permits non-human artwork of all ratings; however, only adults 18 or over may join.

Site founder Starling outlined the sales philosophy:

At Inkbunny we believe two revolutionary things about selling art; that people want to buy your work even if they can get it for free, and that you should not worry too much about piracy of your work.
