The extremely popular BoingBoing blog has mentioned furry fandom numerous times - usually doing the typical jokes, but perpetuating the negative stereotypes nonetheless. Recently they've started to do special Feature Articles, and Lisa Katayama has written a pretty good one, "Fur Fun: The inner lives of furries", an interview with fan and fursuiter Josh Strom.

Xeni Jardin of BoingBoing sent a reply to Richard Stevens of Diesel Sweeties about JetBlue offering a 10% discount to groups of 10 or more flying to ComicCon, but mentioned a 30% surcharge if they happen to be furries. JetBlue tweets back saying that there is no surcharge for furries, but that they must fit into a pet carrier.
