"This weekend, adults will be dressed as cats, wolves and other animals at Furry Fiesta, a convention that celebrates cartoonish animals.
Up to 900 people are expected to attend the festivities at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. They call themselves furries or furry fans. They like to attribute human characteristics to animals, something called anthropomorphism.
Some are dressed in full animal outfits, called fursuits, while others wear cat ears and tails. They play musical chairs, bust open piñatas and dance.
They also attract stares."

Since this is our first newsletter, here's a quick summary of what this is all about.
Its been four years since there was a furry convention in Texas. As the largest state in the United States with a huge furry population, some of us found this unacceptable!
Then, DRAMA happened! The Dallas Regional Anthropomorphic Meeting Association was formed and Furry Fiesta 2009 was conceived.
