"A woman arming herself after hearing foxes in her yard accidentally shot herself early Sunday, according to Colorado Springs police.
The woman called police about 1:30 a.m. to report the shooting at a home on El Sereno Drive in southwest Colorado Springs. When police arrived, they found the woman in the back bedroom with a serious gunshot wound to her left arm.
She told police that she heard foxes in her backyard and was loading the gun before going outside to check.
She was taken to Memorial Hospital. No charges were filed."
